American Idol to host Boston auditions
Kris Allen was just crowed the American Idol champion but the show’s producers are already making plans for next year. Those plans begin with auditions, which will kick off this weekend in Boston.
Think you got it what it takes to be the next American Idol? If so, then go show off your talents (or your bikini-body like season eight’s Katrina Darrell) at the American Idol season nine auditions being held this weekend at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. Wristband distribution will start at 7 a.m. on Saturday and continue until 8 a.m. on Sunday. As soon as auditioners have a wristband, they will be asked to come back to the stadium by 5 a.m. Sunday morning. Auditioners will not be permitted to camp out. For more information, go here.
In related American Idol news, season eight contestants Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta have joined Allen as the latest artists to sign recording contracts with 19 Recordings. All three are currently performing on the American Idol live tour, which hits Boston’s TD Banknorth Garden on August 18.
